Published Saturday, June 27th 2009What is a Whodunit Mystery Cruise?
Whodunit creates a live mystery aboard the ship that everyone in the group will become a part of as well as try to solve. There are times when the guests are following the mystery and other times when they are free to enjoy the cruise. They don’t want you to be looking over your shoulders for the entire cruise.
On a 5-7night sailing, the show takes place for the first 4 nights. On a 3-nt sailing, it will last the whole cruise. The show starts with a flyer that goes out to the guests to get you into the swing of things and to let you know the then of that sailings show. It can be one of the following:
- The Mob Mystery Show
- Cat Burglar Mystery Show
- Corporate Espionage Show
When you board the ship, you are given a role to play. Not to worry, if you are on the shy side, you can sit back and watch it all unfold. If not, you will use your character to find out as much as you can because the actors are mixed among you.
They do an event before dinner then at late dinner every night, so guests need to be booked on late dining to participate. Nothing happens when you are in your ports of call so you won’t miss any important clues.
There are notes left under your cabin door, mysterious phone calls left for you on the cabin voicemail and all kinds of wild and suspicious fun. Eventually, a crime will occur and a detective will come in and hopefully with the help of the group, solve the crime.
The end of the mystery wraps up with a cocktail party where the sleuth is announced and prizes are given away.
